Glass Factory Tours

The Elwood community is home to two premier glass factories:
     HOUSE OF GLASS ● 7900 E. State Road 28, Elwood; (765) 552-6841
     CAROL’S LEGACY GLASS  (formerly Prestige Art Glass) ● 526 South 28th Street, Elwood; (765) 552-0688

The public is welcome to tour the factories via FREE BUS SERVICE, offered by the Elwood Chamber of Commerce and the Elwood Glass Festival Committee, throughout the festival. Bus pickup is located on North J Street, near the Elwood Elementary School. Two buses run about every 30 minutes.

Tours operate from noon to 4:00 p.m. each day of the festival. The buses stop at the House of Glass and Prestige Art Glass. Tours are approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours long. Guests are welcome to drive to both factories on their own if they prefer.

Vintage Rollers 25th Annual Cruise-in

Friday, August 20 – 4:00 to 8:00 p.m – Elks Lodge
The Vintage Rollers and Elwood Elks Lodge #368 are teaming up to co-host the 25th Annual Cruise-In from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Elks Lodge on South Anderson Street.

​Awards will be presented at 7:30 p.m. The D.J. will provide music from the ’50s and ’60s.

Vintage Rollers 39th Annual Rod Run

Saturday, August 21 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Callaway Park
The Vintage Rollers will hold its 39th annual Rod Run, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, east of the shelter house in Callaway Park with more than 300 vintage cars participating.

​Join us and take a walk back in time. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m.

Glass Festival-Tin Plate Parade

Saturday, August 21 – 10:00 a.m.  – Starting at South Anderson Street, heading north to Callaway Park
The 2021 Elwood Glass Festival Grand Parade begins at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21. The parade route runs north on Anderson Street to North K Street then to the High School.

Entries must check in at the Dollar General parking lot before the  parade between 8:30 and 9:20 a.m. Once signed in, entries will be directed on where to line up. The judges’ stand is located at the intersection of Main and Anderson Streets. Winners will be announced from the Chamber of Commerce tent throughout the day Saturday or contacted via phone.

The parade entry form will be available here by June 1. Forms may be submitted in person to the Elwood Chamber of Commerce (108 S. Anderson Street) or the Elwood Mayor’s office (1505 South B Street), or emailed to Parade Chairperson Christy Clark at cclark@elwood.in.gov.

The festival’s midway will come to life each day with carnival rides provided once again by Jessop Amusements. The midway schedule is:
