Carnival Midway Rides
The festival’s midway will come to life each day with carnival rides and other amusements.
The midway schedule is: Wednesday, August 16 . 6:00-10:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17 . 6:00-10:00 p.m. Friday, August 18 . 5:00-11:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19 . 1:00-11:00 p.m. Sunday, August 20 . 1:00-6:00 p.m. Tickets: $1.50 ea. or 20 for $25. Armbands available for $25 for unlimited rides: 6:00-10:00 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday & 1:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday. |
Glass Factory Tours
The Elwood community is home to two premier glass factories:

CAROL’S LEGACY CRYSTAL (formerly Prestige Art Glass) ● 526 South 28th Street, Elwood; (765) 552-0688
The public is welcome to tour House of Glass and Carol's Legacy Crystal via FREE BUS SERVICE, offered by the Elwood Chamber of Commerce and the Elwood Glass Festival Committee, throughout the festival. Bus pickup is located on North J Street, near the Elwood Elementary School. Two buses run about every 30 minutes.
Tours operate each day of the festival, from noon to 4:00 p.m. Friday & Saturday, and noon to 3:00 on Sunday. Guests are welcome to drive to the factories on their own if they prefer.

Vintage Rollers 26th Annual Cruise-in
Friday, August 18 – 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. – Elks Lodge
The Vintage Rollers and Elwood Elks Lodge #368 are teaming up to co-host the Annual Cruise-In from 4:00 to ? p.m. Friday at the Elks Lodge on South Anderson Street.
Awards will be presented at 7:30 p.m. The D.J. will provide music from the ’50s and ’60s.

Vintage Rollers 40th Annual Rod Run
The Vintage Rollers will host its 40th Annual Rod Run, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, east of the shelter house in Callaway Park with more than 300 vintage cars participating.

Glass Festival Parade
The 2023 Elwood Glass Festival Grand Parade begins at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19. The parade route runs north on Anderson Street to North K Street then on to the high school, just north of Callaway Park.
Entries must check in at the Dollar General parking lot before the parade between 8:30 and 9:20 a.m. Once signed in, entries will be directed on where to line up. The judges’ stand is located at the intersection of Main and Anderson Streets. Winners will be announced from the Chamber of Commerce tent throughout the day Saturday or contacted via phone.

Little Miss & Mister Glass Contest
Kappa Delta Phi Sorority is proud to carry on the Little Miss & Mister Contest. The contest is open to any child ages 5 through 7. Winners will be announced at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17 on the Main Stage preceding the Glass Festival. Cutest Baby Contest
Entry forms and containers for the Cutest Baby Contest are available at the Chamber office at 108 S. Anderson Street between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. weekdays from Monday, July 10 through Monday, August 7.
Entry forms must be filled out on site at the Chamber office. The competition is limited to 18 babies born between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023. Parents will be asked to show their baby's birth certificate when submitting their entry form. Decorated containers must be returned to the Chamber by 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 7. Winners are based on the number of penny votes deposited in each baby's container. Containers will be displayed during the Festival from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday. |
The penny votes will then be counted to determine the winners. Parents and guardians are asked to bring their baby to the Main Stage at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, at which time the top three winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
